Dr. Mohammed Manga

/ Clinical Microbiologist

Dr. Mohammed Manga is a clinical microbiologist with MBBS degree from university of Maiduguri, Nigeria and postgraduate fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (NPMCN) and the West African College of Physicians (WACP). His residency training was at the University College Hospital (UCH) Ibadan Nigeria. He is currently an Associate Professor and honorary Consultant with the Gombe State University and Federal Teaching Hospital Gombe, Nigeria respectively. Dr Manga teaches Medical Microbiology and Immunology to both undergraduate and postgraduate medical and allied health sciences students. His research interests are centred on multidisciplinary approach to prevention and control of infections for better patient safety with emphasis on one-health concept and clinical education. He is passionate about improving clinical education/practice in laboratory medicine especially in low resource settings. Dr Manga is an examiner in Medical Microbiology in the faculty of Laboratory Medicine of the West African College of Physicians and also the deputy provost of the college of Medical Sciences of the Gombe State University, Gombe.
